ORGANIC PESTICIDE
GENERAL
INFORMATION:
Botanical Pesticide (BP3) is an effective contact
vermicide. The formulation is primarily based on alkaloids which are derived
from botanical sources, and mineral oil and Pongamia Pinnata oil.
This product may be used to
control targeted pests on crops which include vegetables, grapes and other small fruits, tree fruits, tree nuts, cotton, tobacco,
shrubs, shade and ornamental trees, turf, foliage and flowering plants growing outdoors, in greenhouses and interiors. This product can be applied up to harvest.

MODE OF ACTION:
This
is a contact formulation. The alkaloids, mineral oil and oil of Pongamia Pinnata
disrupt the structure and permeability of the insects’ cell membranes. The
cell contents are able to leak from the damaged cells and the insect quickly dies. Residual
activity is limited once the spray is dried.
SPRAY COVERAGE:
Ø
This product may be applied with most types of
ground or aerial spray equipment. Do not use with pulse or thermal fogger applicators. Do not apply through any types of irrigation system.
Ø
The product must come into contact with the targeted
soft-bodied pests. Complete coverage of pests is essential for maximum control. Spray directly to contact the pests.
Ø
Apply promptly after mixing with other pesticides
to avoid or reduce alkaline hydrolysis of certain pesticides.
Ø
Avoid applications when wind conditions impair
through coverage.

PHYTOTOXICITY
Over dose may cause a burn on the foliate of some sensitive plants, due to the presence of fatty acid salts
in the formula. Multiple applications in a short time interval can aggravate
phytotoxicity.
A small spray strip should
be applied and observed before a full-scale application is made if there is a question concerning sensitivity.
SAFETY STATEMENT
Though the formulation
is low toxic to humans, it should be used with caution. May cause skin irritation and temporary eye injury. Wear protective gears while handling. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse. If in eyes, hold eyelids open and flush with a stead,
gentle stream of water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention. If on skin, wash
with plenty of soap and water. Get medical attention. Environmental hazards:
Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment or disposal of water.
